PBO Endless Belt

PBO endless belt is not the necessity for every handling system. Only for those lines with large press and producing bigger irregular profiles, after the profile formed and out of the extrusion spout,  cooled off through the initial area, the temperature is still quite high, and then from the run-out table to the pick-up. At this stage, the Para-Aramid belt will get quickly worn and even burnt with the high temperature and quick abrasion. In such occasion, PBO endless belt becomes a better choice. Despite the higher cost, the service life of PBO belt is much longer than that of the Para-Aramid one, and this will lower down the cost by break of work for change-over. Therefore, from the view of performance price ratio, esp. shortening of production lead time, PBO belt still wins off.

Para-Aramid Endless Belt/Laminated Belt

The properties are similar with those of Para-Aramid roller sleeve. The belts are mainly used in pick-up and the first-stage cooling table. In pick-up area, the abrasion is much bigger as the transfer speed is higher, whereas it requires higher temperature resistance and strength.
Para-Aramid belt is very good in temperature resistance (500°C) and anti-abrasion (with resin treatment options it is even better), and the 3-layer scrim options enables the real endless belt to stand heavier stretch, hence the belt is competent using in the first-stage cooling table for heavy duty extruders.

Meta-Aramid Endless Belt / Laminated Belt

When the profile reaches to the second-stage cooling table, the temperature is lowered to about 200°C. In this area, the Meta-Aramid belt is used, as the highest temperature Meta-Aramid felt can resist is 250°C. Polyester Endless Belt / Laminated Belt



Designed for the second-stage cooling table for light-duty extruders (less than 800T). As the profiles from these light-duty extruders are easier cooling off, the temperature is already under 180°C when they reach to the second-stage cooling table, thus the more expensive Meta-Aramid belt is not necessary and the cheaper polyester belt becomes the right choice.
